Hygienic Non-Toxic PET Acoustic Ceiling Panels for Hospital Wards & Corridors - Medical Standard

Project Context & Acoustic Challenge
Hospital wards, clinical corridors, and patient waiting areas require strict ambient sound control to support patient recovery and reduce stress for healthcare staff. Hard hygienic vinyl flooring, painted drywall, and continuous medical cart traffic generate persistent footstep impacts, speech reflections, and operational noise that bounce across wide corridors, raising background noise levels above recommended medical guidelines.
Engineered Solution & Design
To deliver localized sound attenuation while maintaining strict healthcare hygiene standards, the ceiling void was outfitted with suspended circular PET acoustic grid clouds in dark grey and refreshing lime green. Designed with an interlocking open-cell lattice structure, these suspended geometric modules intercept upward sound reflections directly over key circulation nodes. Suspended via aircraft cables below the main ceiling deck, they seamlessly integrate with existing HVAC diffusors and downlights without trapping dust or obstructing ceiling-mounted life safety equipment.
Performance & Compliance
Manufactured from high-density, 100% recyclable PET polyester felt, the acoustic ceiling modules offer an impressive NRC rating of up to 0.80+, specifically tuned to absorb mid-to-high frequency corridor noise. Meeting rigorous medical facility specifications, the non-porous, non-toxic panels are inherently moisture-resistant, antimicrobial, formaldehyde-free, and easy to clean. Certified to ASTM E84 Class A fire safety ratings and low-VOC emission standards, they ensure a safe, hygienic, and acoustically tranquil healing environment.
