Theaters, cinemas, and high-spec screening venues require strict reverberation control to prevent audio distortion and spatial echo. Expansive concrete soffits and hard interior surfaces bounce high-decibel multi-channel audio back into the seating area, causing sound muddying and severe flutter echoes that compromise cinematic immersion and speech intelligibility.

Engineered Solution & Design

To deliver maximum acoustic surface coverage while creating a striking architectural aesthetic, the ceiling void was fitted with a 3D geometric interlocking PET acoustic grid baffle system. Precision-milled in a light grey finish, the staggered serrated modules break up planar reflection paths, trapping sound energy within the multi-dimensional open cell structure. Suspended via adjustable aircraft cables below the structural deck, the ceiling grid allows unhindered airflow and lighting integration while visually concealing overhead utilities.

Engineered from high-density, 100% recyclable PET polyester felt, the structural grid system delivers an exceptional sound absorption performance of NRC 0.85+, specifically tuned for critical low-to-mid frequency cinema audio. Meeting strict commercial safety mandates, the system is fully certified under ASTM E84 Class A and EN 13501-1 B-s1, d0 fire-retardant standards, combining low-VOC environmental safety with structural stability for high-occupancy entertainment venues.
