Project Context & Acoustic Challenge

Modern educational environments and flexible school classrooms often rely on open layout plans to encourage interactive learning. However, unpartitioned spaces suffer from severe noise transfer, speech distraction, and excessive reverberation caused by hard floors and exposed ceilings. Traditional rigid drywall partitions permanently block natural daylight and eliminate the spatial flexibility required for collaborative group activities.

Engineered Solution & Design

To achieve adaptable spatial zone division without compromising ambient light or ventilation, the multifunctional classroom was equipped with a 12mm suspended PET acoustic room partition in a mottled grey finish. Precision CNC-milled with a geometric triangular geometric lattice, the porous screen diffuses sound reflections, buffers cross-zone noise transfer, and maintains partial line-of-sight visual connection. Suspended from structural tracks, the lightweight modular panels allow teachers to easily reconfigure learning zones as required.

Performance & Compliance

Manufactured from 100% high-density recyclable PET polyester felt, the 12mm structural partition offers exceptional durability, tear resistance, and an NRC rating of up to 0.75 for effective ambient noise reduction. Tested to stringent educational building codes, it meets ASTM E84 Class A fire-safety certification and ultra-low VOC emission standards. Free of formaldehyde and sharp hardware edges, the non-toxic, impact-resistant panel guarantees a safe, sustainable, and acoustically comfortable learning environment.
