Modern educational spaces and school classrooms rely on dynamic, sit-stand collaborative desks, yet high-density student seating creates continuous environmental noise, ambient echo, and visual distractions. Rigid or sharp-edged metal and acrylic partitions present impact hazards in active learning zones, while failing to control speech acoustics during exams or focused quiet study.

Engineered Solution & Design

To ensure campus safety while optimizing acoustical privacy, the academic workstation system was configured with lightweight PET acoustic desk dividers featuring generous, soft-radius safety corners. The design combines a textured heather-gray front panel with a faceted olive-green rear screen, effectively shielding dual sit-stand desks. The tackable felt surface allows students to pin study notes or task schedules, turning the partition into an interactive personal learning hub.

Performance & Compliance

Manufactured from high-density, non-toxic PET polyester felt, the divider provides an NRC 0.85 sound absorption rating to reduce vocal chatter without adding excess weight to electric sit-stand desk motors. The impact-resistant panel eliminates sharp edges, protecting students from accidental injuries during classroom movement. Certified for strict low-VOC indoor air emissions and meeting ASTM E84 Class A fire safety regulations, it withstands daily classroom use without sagging, fraying, or fading.
